Crystal Soo Jeong Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, where she began her lifelong dedication to music at the age of seven. After years of rigorous training and numerous concert performances, Crystal earned her Bachelor of Music degree in voice from the esteemed Hanyang University in Seoul. Seeking to further her talents, she ventured to the United States, where she obtained her Master's Degree and a Professional Artist Diploma in voice from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Swiftly establishing herself as a professional vocalist, Crystal emerged as a rising opera star and lead soprano with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus. Recently, she has joined the Soprano Opera Chorus at the San Francisco Opera.

In addition to her operatic career, Crystal is a member of the Threshold Choir, using her voice as an instrument for peace and justice. She performs bedside singing at hospitals and hospices within Contra Costa County with deep respect and compassion.
